past education work

RSAMD (20th June 2006)

www.rsamd.ac.uk

The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama asked us to work with students in their composition department. Selected students were asked to compose a short piece for symposia with the opportunity to come along to rehearsals prior to the performance. This is an aspect of rehearsing that we are dedicated to as it allows dialogue between composer and player as the piece progresses

These pieces were then run in a public workshop before being performed as part of the RSAMD evening concert series.

symposia have a thriving education programme working with schools, universities and conservatoires. All of our players are selected for their ability to communicate with audiences, in addition to their musical talents, giving flexibility in the types of workshops that can be provided.
